new music roundup: march 2025

20250402

ok there’s a couple of things from april in here too because i didn’t want to wait until the end of the month to cover them

do i keep you up by kmoe

this is the second single from the upcoming debut album from scene legend kmoe and i really really love it. honestly kmoe is super underrated even among hyperpop/digicore enjoyers so i hope this album finally gets him his flowers.

bejubstep 3 by bejalvin

brostep is so fucking back. bejalvin are a pair of yahoos from minneapolis who make what they call “straight edge dubstep,” which is a totally unique fusion of like… hardcore death growl vocals and dubstep production, and also occasionally rapping like the beastie boys. these guys are like what if joey valence and brae were nostalgic for 2011 instead of 1998. i discovered them recently by seeing them live and i cannot recommend that experience enough if they come to a city near you.

F*CK YOU SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3 by skrillex

Skrillex · F*CK U SKRILLEX YOU THINK UR ANDY WARHOL BUT UR NOT!! <3

apparently skrillex also wanted to make a gangsta grillz mixtape just like tyler, the creator. this shit rules. also voltage finally gets an official release on here since it leaked like 14 years ago so that’s great.

say-it by trustt

trustt · say-it

y’all are sleeping on trustt. one of the very best up and coming names on the soundcloud scene right now. this track is an overwhelming force of bright future riddim basses and swirling, euphoric digicore synths and vocals.

hornet disaster by weatherday

weatherday’s last album, 2019’s come in, quickly became a lo-fi indie classic. hornet disaster continues to deliver. for fans of car seat headrest, eric’s trip, the microphones, grandaddy, etc.

i told u by midwxst

midwxst · i told u

midwxst is back on that #novagang type shit (he has been for a bit now) and i’m so stoked about it.

luarie overflow by cubenatural

super fun, bright, bubbly breakbeat hardcore 90s rave tunes.

it’s closeness, it’s easy by planning for burial

planning for burial continues to be the #1 name in music to kill yourself to.

october country by ghost mountain

close sematary collaborator ghost mountain finally returns with his first new music in quite a long time, and it brings a unique flavor to the haunted mound’s brand of music for teenagers who like to scare trick or treaters on halloween.

extrasensory by vai5000

digicore legend vai5000 releases a lengthy mixtape featuring a whole bunch of other scene staples, including production credits from humildes do SC affiliate yandrel, and vocals from sebii and hatsune miku.

1st light by umru and jacques greene

umru posted on instagram about someone describing this song as “like listening to burial on 2cb” and i can’t describe it any better than that.

this is real by feeble little horse

feeble little horse continues to be one of vanishly few of these 90s indie throwback bands doing anything remotely interesting.

nastywerkkkk! by femtanyl and issbrokie

the only song you will hear this year featuring lyrics about killing matt walsh with a laser.

idiot by estelle allen

is estelle allen just filling space for people who miss the old laura les like people miss the old kanye? yeah. but it’s pretty good so who cares.

gethsemane by car seat headrest

i hate car seat headrest

thousand yard stare by kmoe

this is the other kmoe single from the upcoming album that came out last month and it’s also great i just didn’t like it as much as do i keep you up.
